This seemed crazy enough to share here for those who don’t frequent fp. Air India is officially on my personal no fly list.

Food truck bumps are bad for pressure vessels. I’m surprised you left at all.

Yeah, it’s more than a little a nuts. I remain unconvinced India has solved its “fake pilots” problem completely.

I’ve apparently missed it. What’s your job?

I was grounded for hours once for a coffee pot that either wouldn’t turn off or wouldn’t turn on. So we were told, anyway. I don’t miss flying all the time!

When I see an Air India plane, I always wonder if they serve Indian food on them. Because Indian restaurants may make food that tastes good, but dear god does it smell awful, and what happens a few hours later smells so much worse. All of that in a pressurized tube for 12+ hours? GTFO.

Good point. Pan Am will have to remain my primary airline .

I told them giving the Kool- Aid M an a pilot’s license was a bad idea, but did they listen to me? Nooooooo!

It was the truck driver who thought they hit the tail section, after inspection it turned out the truck driver probably hit an expansion joint in the taxi way and there were no marks on the plane. Needless to say I missed my connection to Kalispell and spent the night at the red lion in Renton.

When Alaska spent 45 minutesto reattach a landing light on a dash 8 I was more concerned. What others pieces and parts were ready to fall off at that point? FWIW I never sit adjacent to the props on a dash 8, as if that would help if one broke off.

I’ve seen worse. They didn’t puncture the pressure vessel. Just substantial wing to fuselage fairing damage. That isn’t load bearing, or as we call it, primary structure. Still, not a nominal takeoff. Wonder if they were over weight.
